Safety
Due to the nature of the underground technology deployment utilised by Elixity, the number of passive and active safety and security layers are increased, seriously decreasing any potential radiological risk, such as is posed by an above surface radiological site.

Environment
The limited life cycle of Elixity technology with no re-fuelling, combined with the in-situ disposal method creates an operation with drastically reduced potential for environmental impact compared with standard re-fuelling and disposal methods.

Anti-proliferation
The underground operational cycle combined with no need to move the spent radiological material to disposal site makes both useable and disposed radiological material virtually unobtainable to anyone compared with above ground SMR operations.

Community
Due to the majority of the infrastructure being housed underground, the above ground footprint is significantly minimised. This combined with the significant safety advantages allows Elixity to have a much better relationship with the communities in the vicinity of any of our sites compared with large, sprawling SMR operations.
